As part of the EU GREEN Alliance, members of the University of Magdeburg met at the end of June for the second ‘Staff Week - WP 2 Education’ at the University of Évora, Portugal. Antje Hoffleit from the Dean of Studies' Office was also there on behalf of the Faculty of Medicine.

The Else Kröner-Fresenius Foundation is funding research into the energy metabolism of immune cells at Magdeburg University Hospital with 410,000 euros.

Research instead of retirement: Prof. Dr. med. Thomas Fischer will take up the first senior professorship at the Medical Faculty of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg for the next three years.
