An interdisciplinary team of researchers at the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg has gained new insights into how inflammatory mediators of pathogen defense can remotely drive cancer cells into death - an important contribution to improving cancer immunotherapies.

As part of the Saxony-Anhalt Heart Week under the motto "Heart's business - give your heart a leg up", doctors will be answering your questions about the heart by phone on July 20, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Minister of Science, Prof. Dr. Armin Willingmann, has awarded the state's most highly endowed innovation prize to, among others, Prof. Dr. Jessica Bertrand from the Orthopedic University Hospital. She and her team took 2nd place in the category "Most innovative basic research projects".
