Innovative medical technology

27.09.2024 -

In a pioneering operation, a patient diagnosed with a tumor at the tip of the petrous bone was successfully treated. Thanks to the use of augmented reality (AR), the surgeons at Magdeburg University Hospital for Neurosurgery were able to remove the tumor with the utmost precision and significantly reduce the risk of complications.

Augmented reality enables doctors to see detailed, three-dimensional images of the affected structures during the procedure. This makes it much easier to plan and perform the operation. In this video, the patient shares her experience and shows how advanced technologies can make medical care safer and more efficient.
