The Research and Teaching Division encompasses Experimental Anesthesiology, continuing medical education, student instruction (including the Skills Lab), and clinical rotation training.

The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care conducts both clinical and experimental/theoretical research projects.

Research collaborations exist with various clinics and institutes within the faculty and the university, as well as with international partners.
