Cerebellum Bridge Angle
One of the most common diseases of the cerebellopontine angle is the so-called acoustic neuroma (actually vestibular schwannoma). However, meningiomas of the base of the skull (petrous bone, clivus, tentorium) can also develop here and lead to symptoms.
As tumors of the cerebellopontine angle are usually benign tumors, they can grow considerably in size due to their slow growth and thus threaten the brain stem with its cranial nerves.
Surgical removal is the treatment of choice once the tumor has reached a specific size. Alternatively, other treatment methods can also be considered.
We will gladly advise you on this disease and the treatment modalities.
