Pituitary Tumor
Pituitary tumors are usually benign tumors of the pituitary gland (hypophysis), which, if large enough, can lead primarily to visual disturbances and/or hormonal disturbances. Interdisciplinary treatment, both before and after surgery, is therefore crucial for the outcome.
The therapy of choice, if the tumor reaches a certain size and symptoms are present, is surgical removal (the exception is prolactinoma).
We will be happy to advise you about this condition and the treatment modalities.
