„"Train the Trainer" is an interdisciplinary and interprofessional program to improve teaching in clinical practice. The contents of the advanced course are aimed at continuing education assistants and specialists in all disciplines, as well as nursing practice instructors who have already attended the basic course and would like to expand and improve their didactic skills.

In the advanced course, various difficult and demanding situations are discussed, reflected upon and practiced. Together an exchange of experiences is established in order to be able to deal professionally with complicated situations in clinical everyday life. In various simulations the participants are taught how to create optimal teaching and learning situations even under pressure.

The course is part of a 2-step concept for didactic further training in human medicine. The basic and advanced courses will be offered at the University Hospital Magdeburg in 2018. The course concept is part of the BMBF joint project "Practical Clinical Competence".
