Neonatology
The neonatology department participates in various network projects as a partner institution
- GNN (German Neonatal Network): The effects of genetic and clinical risk factors, influences of center-specific treatment strategies and the impact of randomized trials on the long-term development of preterm infants with a birth weight below 1500 grams are investigated. The goal of the network is to develop strategies that have a favorable impact on the long-term development of preterm infants
- NeoVitaA: This multicenter study is investigating whether high-dose administrations of vitamin A can prevent the development of bronchopulmonary dysplasia in premature infants < 1000 g.
- RENOIR: This multicenter study compares a breast milk fortification product with added fat and the standard product without added fat for premature infants < 1500 g.
- Study raw breast milk administration to pasteurized breast milk administration: to investigate whether raw breast/donor milk can have beneficial effects on the development of preterm infants < 1500 g compared to pasteurized breast/donor milk.
