Vascular Diseases
Diseases of the blood vessels or the lymphatic vascular system can present themselves clinically in very different ways and occur at different ages. In our clinic are treated:
- Hemangiomas (blood sponges)
- Lymphangiomas or edemas
- Vascular malformations
- Complex diseases associated with alterations of vascular systems, e.g. Klippel-Trénaunay syndrome, Parkes-Weber syndrome
In addition to diagnostics, which are primarily performed by ultrasound, these diseases require interdisciplinary treatment. Interventional radiological techniques may be necessary for both diagnostics and therapy. For this purpose, special expertise is located in the Department of Radiology at the site. The conservative therapy of hemangiomas in infancy and of lymphangiomas also takes place in our clinic.
