Clinical Concept
The overall concept of the clinic is based on an integrative psychiatric-psychotherapeutic approach and comprises of the following areas:
- Two open wards (17 and 12 beds each)
- A geriatric psychiatric ward (16 beds)
- A department of psychosomatic medicine (10 beds, Prof. Frommer)
- A policlinic outpatient area
- A psychiatric-psychotherapeutic and psychosomatic day clinic area (10 spots each)
- A research and scientific laboratory area
Diagnostically, the following are used
- Psychopathological assessment
- Psychometric procedures
- Structure and function imaging neuroimaging methods (CT, MRT, SPECT, EEG)
- Exploration of depth psychology and behaviour therapy
- Laboratory Diagnostics
The therapy specturm includes:
- Differentiated psychopharmacotherapy
- Behavioural Therapy
- Cognitive and supportive therapy methods
- Depth psychological/psychoanalytical methods
- Relaxation method
- Sociotherapy
- Music therapy
- Ergotherapy
- Physiotherapy
- Individual therapy
- Group therapy.
In 2009, the clinic treated 1470 inpatients. The average treatment duration was 15.6 days. On an outpatient basis, 3582 patient contacts took place in the polyclinic.
